• TechDova developed a comprehensive Barcode Scanner App that supplements a full service Contract Management System. This App was developed on Android with backwards compatibility to earlier Android versions and smaller devices. Several sprints of human factors engineering were conducted resulting on an app that requires minimum user interaction to execute the workflow directing contract negotiation, contract revisions, multilevel approvals, with supplemental attachments supporting most commonly known document types. This App has turned out to becoming the key marketing stimulus promoting the sales of the system.

  • The Barcode Scanner App was first prototyped in the Jelly Bean version of Android, and then adjusted to accommodate legacy versions such as Gingerbread. This demanded significant effort to perform regression QA on a variety of Android versions and device sizes. The end result is a robust app that is hardened to withstand the permutations and combinations of usability from novice users in stabled environments to demanding field personnel in rugged surroundings. This app is highly flexible, easy to use, graphically intuitive, is accommodating to varying sizes and operating system versions, and is highly rated by its user community.

  • TechDova developed a Location Based Service covering the largest US cities. This service was developed in legacy J2ME and Windows Mobile and delivered location specific information to users of mobile devices based on their geography and their user preferences. The service has a user interface that is GIS driven, enabling users to location aware of the services and merchants in their immediate vicinity. The services covered categories of information such as shopping, entertainment, emergency such as hospitals, commercial such as banks, and several others. This app has since been used as a template to develop and deploy other mobile systems.

  • Depending on funding availability, TechDova may develop the next generation of the Location Services to test market evolving technologies such as Augmented Reality. The ultimate objective is to enable users to become more context aware of the offerings in their proximity, where context aware is driven and influenced by the preferences and lifestyle of individual users. The business model is that merchants will be receptive to paying for promotional advertisements displayed on the devices of pedestrians that are in their immediate vicinity, and with the further intent to present redeemable coupons as purchasing stimuli.

  • Pocket Real Estate is a mobile app that provides access to MLS information anytime and anywhere. This app literally changes the way agents and brokers conduct their real estate business. By using Pocket Real Estate users spend less time in the office and more time prospecting, listing, and selling properties. The app was initially developed on the legacy Palm OS. TechDova worked on upgrading it to Windows Mobile and further integrated the app with users’ core applications including schedules, contacts, emails, and memos. As a result of its success Pocket Real Estate was later acquired by a larger player in the real estate market.

  • TechDova played a critical role in formulating, engineering, and deploying the next generation of the Pocket Real Estate app. This was a next generation strategy and development engagement intended to position the app as one of the most competitive in the real estate market utilizing the latest in GPS and GIS technologies and the other inherent features and characteristics of modern mobile devices. The app ultimately attained the status of being one of the most widely used in its class, and at the time of its acquisition it had an install base of over 50,000 users with a forecast to reach over 250,000 in under 3 years.
